Robins is a dedicated area that is designed to provide a quiet and nurturing environment for all children, offering them a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of nursery life. It is open to all classes, and each child has the opportunity to access this space throughout the week.
One of the highlights of Robins Inclusive Space is the presence of our Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs), who play a crucial role in supporting the emotional development of our children. ELSAs work closely with the children, fostering self-awareness and helping them explore different feelings. Through their guidance, our little ones learn important skills in managing their emotions, which is a valuable asset for their overall development.
In Robins, our main objective is to create an environment where every child feels included, cared for, and supported. We firmly believe that nurturing emotional literacy is just as important as academic achievements. By fostering emotional intelligence, we aim to equip our children with tools and strategies to navigate their feelings, thus enabling them to build resilience, empathy, and a positive sense of self.
We have already witnessed the positive impact that Robins Inclusive Space has had on our children. They have grown in self-confidence, demonstrated improved social skills, and become more resilient in facing everyday challenges. We greatly encourage you to engage your child in conversations about their experiences at Robins, as this will provide further reinforcement and support for their emotional development.

The Robins class holds 4 spaces each day for our children with special educational needs and/or are working with outside professionals. The Robins class offers our children with Individual Support Plans and or Educational Health and Care Plans the opportunity to play and learn in a quieter space within the nursery, whilst working alongside children of all ages and abilities. This quiet sanctuary is a microcosm of our mainstream classes, offering our children achievable challenge within a space that works for them.
