Our children have the opportunity to take their learning into our generous outdoor space and grounds. They have daily opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through practical exploration of the natural world whilst enjoying the fresh air.
We use our outdoor space as an extension of our classrooms and use our space throughout the seasons and in allweathers. The children experience the success of planting and caring for plants, flowers and vegetables as well as learning about the cycles of nature.
Our children have the opportunity to take part in a Forest School session once a week. We supply them with fleece lined waterproofs, hats and gloves and ask a pair of boots to be left with us.
Through these sessions our children experience camp fires, nature walks and each session focuses on a different aspect of nature and seasonal cycles. It’s a fun and enjoyable way for them to experience being outside and all the learning opportunities this has to offer.
